The Eurostars program provides support to SMEs

Eurostars is aimed at small and medium enterprises investing over 10% of their turnover in research and development.

Thanks to Eurostars, SMEs are able to work with suitable European research teams and consolidate their competitiveness in expertise and innovation.

Today, there are 33 nations participating in Eurostars who will be contributing to total financing of EUR 900 million for the 2014-2020 period according to the fact sheet “A pan-European programme for innovative SME”, published by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SEFRI). The EU is offering additional financing of EUR 300 million for the Horizon 2020 program.

Eurostars is a joint program with the EU in accordance with Article 185 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. As a general rule, there are two calls for tender per year. Swiss applicants to the Eurostars project are advised to contact their national project coordinator.
