People with disabilities have the right to participate equally in working life, whether through entering the workforce, changing jobs, or advancing their careers. One key to this is an inclusive work environment that includes, for example, barrier-free workplaces, accessible software, committed managers, and a sensitized team.

An inclusive work environment not only brings social benefits, but also strengthens companies and public employers: it makes it easier to recruit and retain employees, promotes productivity, and creates space for innovation. The federal government's “Inclusive Work Environment” toolbox offers a selection of useful tools for promoting diversity and inclusion in a practical way.
