The SME Portal of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) provides a large amount of information and many tools to small and medium-sized enterprises, from the establishment of an enterprise to its succession: practical information, online administrative procedures, news articles, law amendments, etc.
The SME Portal is managed and updated by the department E-governent for SME, the center responsible for questions relating to small and medium-sized enterprises. The department E-governent for SME is a part of the Directorate for Economic Promotion, which is tasked with promoting exports, promoting conditions of company establishment in Switzerland, regional policy, tourism policy and the SME promotion policy.
One of the key tasks of our department is to promote modern e-government solutions for SMEs with the aim of simplifying administrative processes and strengthening competitiveness. In addition to creating suitable conditions for SME financing, we are therefore focusing in particular on reducing administrative hurdles through digital services. In recent years, for example, the SME portal and the start-up platform EasyGov.swiss have been set up. Both platforms help to provide SMEs with relevant information efficiently and significantly reduce their administrative burden.
