External financing through loans

For smaller companies, loans are a particularly suitable form of medium-term debt capital. A loan means that a bank or private individual provides the company with funds for a certain amount of time, usually in exchange for interest. In addition to a fixed rate of interest, the debtor often promises the creditor a share in the profits of the business.
