How can you prepare your SME for future challenges?

A company prepared to tackle the future has an advantage over its competitors. Tools exist to cope with new challenges. 

A company preparing for the future creates competitive advantages. It identifies opportunities more quickly and reduces the risk of being taken by surprise by unexpected changes. Applied prospective research helps companies recognize future market developments and future sector requirement developments at an early stage. This service is not confined to major large companies. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can also benefit from systematic observations regarding future developments.

The future teaches us what needs to be done today. How? We will show you how here. Specialist experts from the European Futurists Conference Lucerne have developed the most important instruments for applied prospective research – also known as company contingency plans – for Swiss SMEs. For each instrument, advice is given on their use within an SME.

In collaboration with the European Futurists Conference Lucerne, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) carried out an online survey on the future readiness of SMEs:
