(23.07.2026) Since July 9, 2026, the SME Portal of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has been offering small and medium-sized enterprises even easier access to practical information, digital government services, and current topics. This comprehensive relaunch improves user-friendliness, makes navigation easier, and lays the technical foundation for the portal’s ongoing development.

Approximately 2.5 million visitors use the SME Portal each year. With over 7,000 content pages in German, French, Italian, and English, it is one of the federal government’s most comprehensive information platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The SME Portal supports businesses throughout their entire lifecycle—from startup through day-to-day operations to business succession. It brings together reliable and practical information on topics such as starting a business, human resources management, finance and taxes, digitalization, and innovation. It also facilitates access to digital government services: Many administrative procedures can be handled simply and efficiently via EasyGov.swiss.

The modernized platform features clearer navigation, an optimized display on mobile devices, and a state-of-the-art technical infrastructure. As a result, businesses can find the information they need more quickly and use digital services more easily. At the same time, the relaunch lays the groundwork for the continuous development of the SME Portal and for tailoring it even more precisely to the needs of businesses.
