(09.02.2022) Economic experts in Switzerland are confident about the future. According to Credit Suisse and The CFA Financial Market Survey, over 80% of financial analysts expect to see significant recovery in the next six months.

The CS-CFA confidence index rose for the second consecutive month. After a 10.8-point increase to 0 points from November to December 2021, it went up to 9.5 points in January 2022.

Forecasts for the Swiss and eurozone economies are on the rise. Approximately one-third of respondents expect economic improvement in these regions. The trend in the US, on the other hand, is worrying especially given a potential increase in key interest rates in the coming months. By contrast, experts are reassured by China's recent fiscal and monetary easing.

The risk of inflation is considered to be serious. Most experts expect prices to rise in the upcoming months especially due to increasing oil prices. Supply difficulties, such as those experienced in 2021, are also a cause for concern.

A significant number of analysts believe that the Swiss labor market will remain stable. According to the survey, more than a third of respondents expect the number of job seekers to decrease, up from 22% in December.
