Federal collective bargaining agreements

There are federal collective bargaining agreements which apply to all companies in a given sector.

At the request of associations who are signatories to a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), the relevant authorities can extend the scope of the agreement to the entire sector in several cantons, or even Switzerland as a whole, provided certain legal conditions are met.

For example, scaffolding companies benefit from a CBA for all of Switzerland.
